This wine is produced by the Perrin family, using the same viticultural and wine-making techniques employed at Château de Beaucastel

Ageing

The harvest is sorted and destemmed. Vinification then takes place in stainless steel and oak. Ageing in tanks and Foudre (25%) for a year.

The vintage

2009 is a great vintage of the Southern Rhône Valley. It’s a combination of ripe fruit, a rich and harmonious mouth and a fleshy finale with elegant tannins.

Colour: Dark ruby with purple reflections
Nose: Intense smell of macerated cherries and licorice
Mouth: Wine is full-bodied with a generous attack, a
pleasant freshness and elegant tannins.
This well-balanced wine
is a typical expression of the southern Rhône with a thyme
and rosemary aftertaste

Location

Just 20% of the Côtes-du-Rhône vineyard is entitled to add the word ‘Villages’ after the words ‘Côtes-du-Rhône’. These are the best vineyard sites.
